Contracts on the Matif CBoT went north. With the start of pre-market trading on the eCBoT, however, prices there are coming back. This week, market participants are expecting new estimates for US acreage. The majority of analysts expect the corn acreage to decrease compared to the previous year, since US farmers will obviously plant more soybeans. In Argentina, the grain exchange expects a lower harvest and lowered its forecast by 1.9 million tons to 49.0 million tons.
