The mood on the slaughter pig market has calmed down after the friendly development in the past few weeks. The red side in particular is no longer willing to pay larger surcharges and complains that the higher prices on the meat market cannot be enforced. At the same time, demand has decreased slightly. The wintry weather and the increasing willingness to sell are weighing on the market again. Nevertheless, the supply remains relatively low, causing the price to rise this week to EUR 1.95/kg SG. At the auction of the Internet Schweinebörse this Friday, 160 pigs in 6 lots out of 960 offered pigs were sold in 1 lot at an average price of 2.00 €/kgSG (that's -4 cents to the last auction).
