In Paris, futures could no longer hold their gains and fell. The front month had to cope with the highest daily loss of -7.25 euros/ton. With the announcement that Russia intends to withdraw some of its troops from the Ukrainian border, wheat prices on the CBoT slipped into the red. For the March date, it was down $19.5 cents/bushel to $779.75 cents/bushel. However, the conflict remains in the focus of market participants. Around 30% of the wheat traded worldwide comes from the Black Sea countries. In Russia, the analysts at Sovecon meanwhile anticipate an increase in the wheat forecast to 84.8 million tons (+3.6 million tons).
