Russian wheat export prices barely changed during the past week while export volumes declined.
Black Sea wheat with 12.5% protein for delivery in corn remained unchanged at $ 213 / ton FOB last week, according to agricultural consultancy IKAR. SovEcon reported a modest $ 0.50 / ton increase to $ 213.50 the previous week.
In the current marketing year 2017/18, Russia exported cereals with a volume of 44.2 million tons as of 2 May. Compared to the previous year there is an increase of 43%.
SovEcon expects grain exports to reach only 3.7 million tonnes in May, including 2.9 million tonnes of wheat. In April, 4.6 million tonnes of grain were exported (including wheat: 3.5 million tonnes).
Class III wheat in the European part of Russia last week cost 9,050 rubles ($ 144.40) / tonne from base ex works.
