The Russian Agriculture Ministry 2016 increased its grain harvest forecast to 106 million tonnes under the premise of favourable weather. This was announced by Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev. Most recently the forecast was 104 million tons. by 2015, 104.8 million metric tons of grain were harvested.
