Russia plans to reduce its wheat export quota

Russia plans to lock its grain export quota at 11 million tons, including 8 million tons of wheat, from February 15 to June 30, 2022, the Ministry of Economic Affairs said in a statement today.
Market participants previously expected a wheat export quota of 9 million tons.
Russia plans to set grain export quotas every year from now on, the ministry said after failing to have quotas before this year.
