The prices of Russian export wheat for the new crop have been stable over the past week.
Export wheat with 12.5% protein, loaded at Black Sea ports, for delivery in July was $ 202 / tonne FOB at the end of last week, reports the Russian agricultural consultancy SovEcon.
IKAR quoted a price of $ 200 / ton FOB, up $ 1 from the previous week. IKAR quoted a price of $ 170-172 per ton for barley.
Russian exports slowed to their lowest level in recent years. The country exported 134,000 tons of wheat compared to 305,000 a week earlier.
Russia exported 35.4 million tons of grain from July 1 to May 28, a decrease of 13% over the same period last year, SovEcon said. Wheat exports accounted for 30.2 million tonnes of this.
The Ministry of Agriculture has sold 1.43 million tons of grain from its stocks since the start of sales in April.
Inventory is almost exhausted, and state grain trader UGC said last week that Russia was considering increasing it to 6 million tons. SovEcon doubted that this plan would be implemented at least in the short term.
