Russia: winter grain sowing is done to 76.5% of the surfaces

Russian farmers have harvested by October 7 (before drying and cleaning) 113.5 million tons of grain. 92% of the areas are cleared. The average yields are at 2.61 tonnes per hectare. This reports the Russian Agriculture Ministry. Last year, 99 million tons of grain was made at the same time with average yields of 2.4 tons per hectare.
The area under cultivation for winter wheat will be increased to 6%. So far, the sowing takes place on 13.28* million hectares or 76.5% of the planned area of 17.35 million hectares. The seeding rate is slightly behind last year, when already 13.78 million hectares were ordered.
