Grain exports from Russia have declined by 24.1% year-on-year since the beginning of the agricultural year (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022) and amounted to 18 million tons as of November 25, the Ministry of Agriculture said in Moscow today.
"According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, 18 million grains were exported on November 25 in the current 2021-2022 agricultural year. That is 24.1% less than in the same period of the previous season - 23.8 million tons," the ministry said.
The export volume of wheat for the season amounted to 15.3 million tons (-23.1%), barley - 2 million tons (-34%), corn - 0.6 million tons (-14.1%) ), it says there.
The Ministry of Agriculture estimates grain exports from Russia in the agricultural year 2021-2022 at 45-48 million tons. The ministry has not yet issued a forecast for wheat exports.
