Russian export prices for wheat from the country's southern export regions were largely stable last week.
Black sea wheat with 12.5% protein content for delivery in May cost $ 231 / ton fob on Friday, down $ 1.5 / tonne from the previous week.
Since the beginning of the marketing period on 1 July 2017 and until 25 April, Russia exported 43.2 million tonnes of grain. This includes 33.7 million tonnes of wheat. The export was 42% higher than at the same time in the season before.
The farmers have now sown on 11% or 3.4 million hectares of the planned acreage summer crops; in 2017 there were 4.2 million hectares at this date.
The prices of Class IV wheat on the local market in the European part of Russia increased by 75 rubles / ton to 8,675 rubles / ton or the equivalent of 139,6 USD / ton from the loading station.
