Saudi Arabia buys 1.5 million tons of feed barley

Saudi Arabia's state grain purchaser SAGO announced this morning's purchase of 1.5 million tonnes of feed barley in an international tender process. The agency bought barley via Sellers option at the average price of $ 260.79 / ton c & f for delivery in November / December. Of the total of 25 shipments of 60,000 tonnes, 17 shipments will be delivered to ports on the Red Sea and another eight shipments to ports on the Persian Gulf.
Barley was offered from the EU, Australia, North and South America (including Canada) and the Black Sea region. Due to a diplomatic dispute with Canada, SAGO currently does not buy wheat or barley from Canada.
