Sell-off of State Chinese maize reserve falters

In the first auction after the holidays in China the Government could sell only 27,000 tons of corn from their Government portfolios. There were 1.3 million tonnes in the offer from the harvest year 2014.
Last, the sales from the Chinese maize intervention were very manageable. The last seven auctions could only 180,000 tons maize strike as compared to an average of 500,000 tons in each auction in September and in June by a total 2-3 million tons.
Since the beginning of the swap in May of this year 18.9 million tons were sold corn from the Chinese State maize reserves.
