Heavy rains have hit late last week in southern Russia's wheat stocks. There a large wheat crop is expected, although, the rainfall could adversely impact but on the qualities, so the fear. Wheat grown in southern Russia is exported to a large extent in North Africa and the Middle East.
This year Russia expects a wheat harvest in height of 64.5 million tons of wheat, as Dmitry Rylko, Chairman of the Russian Agrarberatungsunternemens IKAR. Before the forecast was 63.5 million tonnes. The entire grain harvest 2016 is of ICAR at present to 108.8 million tonnes (previous forecast: 108 million tons).
