The Moscow SovEcon consultancy firm expects that the Russian grain harvest 2016 with 105.4 million tonnes will be the largest since 2008.
Russia's wheat supplier in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East. In the past three years, the weather and vegetation conditions were so good that more than 100 million tons of grain was harvested in Russia.
Also, the Agriculture Ministry in Moscow assumes that this year's harvest is not less than in the previous year. Expected with 61.1 million tons of wheat, to 59 million tons in the previous year. The crops in poor condition were seen most recently of 1.4 million hectares now 800,000 hectares.
The USDA went out last Tuesday by a Russian wheat crop by 63 million tons, SovEcon believes that this assessment is too optimistic.
