SovEcon increased its forecast for Russia's wheat harvest

The Russian SovEcon consultancy yesterday increased its estimate for the Russian wheat crop of 64.4 million tonnes 66.1 million tons. Last year, 61 million tons of wheat were harvested in Russia.
The USDA estimated yesterday the Russian wheat harvest to 65 million tonnes and the entire grain harvest in Russia to 108.8 million tonnes (previous year: 106.9 million tonnes). In 2008, with 108 million tonnes, the largest ever grain harvest was retracted in the post Soviet era.
The Russian Agriculture Ministry sees the this year's Russian grain harvest at 110 million tons.
