Euronext rapeseed recovered sharply on Friday in the day's selling. The May contract recorded the highest daily gain of EUR 16.00/ton with a settlement of EUR 710.50/ton. Soybeans ended trading on Friday with up to double-digit gains. The shot contracts also closed with a green sign. Fodder for the bulls are concerns about drought damage in South America. Despite the rain, many growers fear yields could be worse. At the same time, however, many US traders are hoping that export business could pick up speed again. Bookings from China in particular have fallen short of expectations in recent weeks.
