Soy cultivation suffers from drought

Another trading day for rapeseed prices went into the red in Paris. The first month saw the strongest setback from 13.75 euros / ton to 795.00 euros / ton. In Canada, canola futures could not stay in the green either and fell slightly. Profit-taking and the lack of guidelines from the European environment put a strain on retail. The soy complex found no clear direction on Tuesday. The contracts closed trading with slight gains. Due to the drought in Brazil, many market participants expect significantly worse production prospects. The agricultural agency Conab also adjusted its forecast and reduced the harvest to 140.5 million tons (-2.2 million tons).
