Soy in South America is suffering from drought

In Paris, rapeseed contracts were firmer on Friday. The leading May recorded the highest daily gain of 5.25 euros/ton to 691.50 euros/ton. The Winnipeg stock market is red ahead of the weekend. The soybean complex posted solid gains on Friday. Both the bean and the meal contracts were mainly supported by the latest export reports. The USDA confirms a sale to China with a volume of 108,000 tons. In the southern United States, the growing conditions for oilseed continue to deteriorate. In Paraguay, yield losses could be almost 50%, reports the local Ministry of Agriculture. A poorer harvest is also expected in Brazil. The experts from Safra and Mercado reduced their forecast to 127.1 million tons (-5 million tons).
