In the November date that is about to expire, rapeseed climbed back above the EUR 650 mark yesterday, the most traded February contract ended up with a daily gain of EUR 1.50 at EUR 641.75 per ton. The rapeseed imports of the EU have until 23.10. reached a volume of 2.21 million tons and are thus clearly higher than in the previous year, when up to the 17th calendar week of the financial year 1.52 million tons were imported. The Ukraine has again become Europe's largest supplier of rapeseed, around 2/3 (1.38 million tons) come from the war-torn country on the Black Sea. In the case of sunflower meal or sunflower oil, too, the largest shares now come from the Ukraine. The well-progressing soybean harvest in the USA and the favorable weather forecast for the coming days caused beans to move sideways yesterday. Soybean meal, on the other hand, increased with a daily profit of $ 6.40 to the equivalent of 457.58 euros/t. In Argentina, the weather has turned. The drought-stricken soybean stocks in the fields are currently benefiting from heavy rainfall, which also kept the price development on the CBoT in check. The weekly export bookings were 1.02 millionwell below last week's record, weekly shipments of 2.7. million tons, on the other hand, are very robust.
