Soybeans for China: October imports decreased by 6%

China, the world's largest soybean importer, imported 5.21 million tons of this oilseed in October. 5,79% are less than in October of last year.
It was now slightly less than the market had expected had been. Following the large export contracts in the last five weeks, it was 5.4 million tons.
October was the weakest month of import since February 2016. At that time the new lunar year began and the import volumes were even under 5 million tons. Analysts are not worried about this small amount of import, but because at the end of the import season from South America and before the United States provide the lion's share of October is always a little quiet.
Market experts in Asia expect to rebuild rising soybean arrivals to the stocks, so that at the end of the lunar year can produce enough meat for the growing demand in the coming months.
The imported soya beans are ground to soybean oil (cooking oil) and soybean meal. The shot is the most important protein in feed for the fattening of animals.
In the first ten months in the year 2016, China imported 66.4 million tons of soy beans (previous year: 65.2 million tonnes).
