Members of the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) increased soybean processing by 7.7% compared to February 2017 (142,792), even exceeding the previous February 2016 record (148,351). 153.719 million bushels of soybeans were processed, significantly more than analysts expected in advance.
The expected February processing volume was 149.443 million bushel. This is the result of a survey conducted by Reuters among 10 analysts. Compared to January (163,111), the February result has fallen by 5.8%, but less than expected.
Soybean exports fell to 755,103 tonnes in February (January 18: 860,416, February 17: 738,825).
Soybean stocks rose to £ 1.856 billion at the end of February from £ 1.728 billion at the end of January. Analysts expected 1.766 billion pounds.
