The agricultural consulting firm strategy of grains has published its monthly forecast for oilseeds in the European Union. Therein, the estimate of rape seed production was reduced 2016/17 to 21.53 million tons. In the previous estimate was off by a production won 21.56 million tons. That would be a decrease of 1.8% compared to the production volume by 2015/16, as 21.93 million tons of rape seed were harvested. In the season 2014/15 24,26 million tons of rape seed were produced.
When the acreage 2016/17 reduced strategy of grains raised its forecast slightly to 6.32 million hectares (previous estimate: 6.35 million hectares by 2015/16: 6.45 million hectares; 2014/15: 6.72 million hectares)
The earnings estimate unchanged kept the company at 3.4 0 tons per hectare. Exactly, this is the result of the season by 2015/16 (2014/15: 3.61 tonnes per hectare).
