Strategy Grains is raising its forecast for EU wheat exports for 2020/21

Strategy Grains has raised its prospects for common wheat exports from the European Union and the UK, the consultancy announced today, citing better competitiveness in world markets following a rise in black sea wheat prices.
In a monthly report, the experts forecast exports outside the EU and Great Britain for 2020/2121 at 25.0 million tonnes, compared to 23.0 million in September.
It also downgraded its forecast for the EU's current corn harvest after a hot, dry summer in some key growing areas.
The French company now expects corn production in the EU and the UK to be 62.7 million tonnes compared to 64.9 million in the previous month, and is now 4.7 million tonnes below its August estimate.
For common wheat, they raised their estimate of EU and UK production this year to 129.5 million tonnes from a forecast of 129.3 million last month.
