On Monday, the Syrian Government grain importing agency Hoboob has bought around 200,000 metric tons of soft wheat. The origin is suspected from Russia, the price is 164,31 per ton c & f free out Syrian ports and the deliveries will take place in August and September.
Syria's Government could give no harvest estimate for this year so far, the FAO experts but assume that the area under cultivation was so great, as in the previous year. The imports come in the country, while the State buyout program for local wheat.
