Taiwan's purchasing community MFIG has written an international tender for the purchase of 40,000 and 65,000 tonnes up to from corn. Eligible corn from the United States or Brazil (sellers option). The offer period ends on August 31. The delivery is scheduled in the period 10-29 November (U.S. Gulf Coast or Brazil) or November 25 - December 14 (US Pacific Northwest Coast). The U.S. Maisfutures Act currently due to a large expected US corn crop to the lowest level since September 2009.
