Chicago soybean futures prices expanded gains this morning for the seventh straight session, hitting a more than three-month high. The dry weather in the growing areas of South America is fueling production concerns.
European Union soybean imports in the 2021/22 season reached 5.97 million tonnes, while common wheat exports reached 13.36 million tonnes by December 19, according to data released by the European Commission yesterday. The figures for France are still incomplete.
The Iranian government agency Government Trading Corporation has published another international tender for the purchase of around 180,000 tons of milling wheat, European traders announced on Tuesday. In addition, the purchase of up to 60,000 tons of feed barley, 60,000 tons of feed corn and 60,000 tons of soy flour.
Turkey's state grain authority TMO bought 320,000 tons of milling wheat in an international tender that closed on Tuesday, traders said.
