Turkey buys 440,000 tons of wheat

The state-run Turkish grain buyer TMO has bought 440,000 tonnes of wheat in an international tender process for the purchase of 500,000 tonnes of wheat, European traders report in a preliminary estimate. The offer period ended on Tuesday. The purchases were wheat of optional origin, but it is expected that a significant part of the volume will come from the Black Sea region. Offers for the remaining 60,000 tons were therefore rejected.
