The Turkish state grain buyer TMO has bought a further 275,000 tons of wheat in a series of tenders. Since Tuesday, TMO has bought around 550,000 tons, according to European traders. The quantities have not yet been officially confirmed.
The purchases were probably of optional origin, but it is expected that a significant part of the volume will come from Russia and the rest from the Black Sea region and the European Union.
The 275,000 tons are to be delivered between 16 February and 8 March.
The delivery date for the first 275,000 tons, which were purchased on Tuesday, is between January 21 and February 15. The lowest price was reportedly USD 236 per metric ton c & f.
The quantities and prices purchased are yet to be finally confirmed in the coming days, traders said.
