Grain production in Turkey declined 14.3% year-on-year to around 31.9 million tons in 2021, while wheat production fell 13.9% to 17.7 million tons, according to today's official data.
Barley production decreased by 30.7% to 5.8 million tons in 2021, while corn production increased by 3.8% to 6.8 million tons. The Turkish statistics institute just announced that oat production fell by 12.2% to 276,000 tons.
Vegetable production rose 1.8% to 31.8 million tons during the year, while the production of fruit, beverages and spices rose 5.4% to 24.9 million tons.
