In Ukraine, almost the entire winter cereal sowing has occurred. The agricultural consultancy UkrAgroConsult reports that as of December 21, 99.4% of the sowing has occurred. The proportion of stocks that are in good shape is 48.4%. At the same time last year, it was 38.7%. The share of stocks rated weak fell from 17% to 15.4%. The rest of the stocks are in a satisfactory condition according to UkrAgroConsult. In total, winter cereals were sown in Ukraine at 6.9 million hectares. That's 4% less than originally expected. Winter wheat was sown on 5.9 million hectares, winter barley on 822,000 hectares and rye on 147,000 hectares.
