Ukraine has already exported more than half of its wheat surplus available for export for the 2021/22 season (July21 to June22) and shipped 12.4 million tons of the goods abroad for around 3 billion US dollars, said the agricultural consultancy APK-Inform just included.
The consultancy said in a report that Indonesia has been the main importer of Ukrainian wheat so far this season at 2.6 million tons, while Egypt, Ukraine's second largest export destination, bought 1.6 million tons.
In third place is Turkey with 1.1 million tons.
Ukraine harvested 32.3 million tons of wheat this year and analysts expect exports could reach 22.5 million tons in 2021/22.
