By the end of 2017, Ukraine's agricultural export capacity increased to 68 million tons. Storage capacity in the ports was 3.4 million tonnes. This is reported by the magazine of Ukrainian port operators.
As a result, throughput capacity increased by 1.75 million tonnes in 2017.
At least eight terminals plan to significantly expand their capacities this year. The facilities for the export of fertilizers are to be expanded by 14 million tonnes. By the end of 2018, storage capacities are also to be increased by 27% to 4.255 million tons. In total, 82 million tons can be exported.
Ukraine harvested around 62 million tons of grain in 2017; It is planned to increase the harvests to 80 million tons over the next ten years. Domestic consumption currently amounts to 20 million tonnes of grain, so that the surplus can be exported to various countries.
