Ukraine export wheat prices at 2-year high

A high demand for wheat from importers and concerns about a delay in winter wheat sowing drove export prices in Ukraine to a two-year high last week. The agricultural advisory firm AKP-Inform reports that it was able to sell for 244-247 USD / ton last Friday.
This added another 6–7 USD / ton for the export wheat with 12.5% protein compared to the previous week. Wheat with 11.5% protein cost 242-245 USD / ton fob Black Sea port.
Ukraine is one of the most important wheat producers and exporters in the world and plans to export 17.5 million tons of wheat in the current July 2020 / June 2021 marketing season.
