Ukraine's grain exports increased by 34% to 31.1 million tons in the current 2019/20 marketing period (July-June), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Agriculture reported last Friday. Increased wheat and maize exports contributed significantly to this. Wheat exports rose by 4.5 million tons to 14.99 million tons. Barley exports also rose to 3.7 million tons and corn exports to 12 million tons.
In 2019, Ukraine harvested a record 74 million tons of grain compared to 70 million tons in 2018.
