Ukrainian grain exports in the current 2017/18 marketing year currently reach a volume of 35.4 million tonnes, continuing to lag behind exports in the 2016/17 marketing year at the same time as 38.7 million tonnes of grain were exported. So far, 15.7 million tons of wheat, 15.3 million tons of corn and more than 4.19 million tons of barley have been exported, reports the Ministry of Agriculture. In the past year, 61.3 million tons of grain were harvested in Ukraine. In 2016, the previous record result of 66 million tons was achieved. This season, 41 million tons of grain could be exported.
