Ukraine: Grain exports so far 23% below previous year

Ukrainian grain exports in the current 2020/21 season (July to June) have so far reached a volume of 4.19 million tons. In the same period of the previous year it was 5.45 million tons.
As of August 14th, 2.38 million tons of wheat, 499,000 tons of corn and 1.30 million tons of barley were exported. In the previous year it was 2.39 million tons of wheat, 499,000 tons of corn and 1.3 million tons of barley at the same time. It is unclear whether the exported grain was harvested in 2019 or 2020 in the current marketing year.
In 2019, Ukraine harvested a record 75.1 million tons of grain. This year the harvest could be smaller due to unfavorable weather conditions.
