Ukraine has already exported 15.2 million tons of corn

Corn exited the final trading day of last week with no clear direction. March, which is about to end, lost significantly with only a few sales remaining, the coming front month of June closed unchanged at 174.25 euros/t. Later dates left with marginal increases or unchanged from the last session of the week. Corn prices remain under pressure on the cash markets. In the north and west of Germany in particular, more and more corn offers are arriving from Eastern Europe, which are also being booked in actual shiploads. In the south, corn also arrives at German inland ports via the Danube from Eastern Europe, which also competes with corn from France. The compound feed industry continues to demand primarily short-term requirements. At the CBoT, corn continued south on Friday. The weekly export volume of corn sold was disappointing at 820,400 tons. That is 37 percent less than the previous week and 30 percent less than the average of the last four weeks. However, effective loading has become somewhat friendlier. The Ministry of Agriculture in Ukraine announced that 4.3 million tons of grain were sold so far in February, exceeding February 2023 by 500,000 tons. In the season to date, 28.2 million tons were exported, including around 15.2 million tons of corn.
