Ukraine has already exported 16 million tons of grain.

Exports of grain from Ukraine, at 16 million tonnes, have already exceeded the previous year's level thanks to large corn exports. This was announced this morning by the Food Safety Authority in Kiev.
The government estimates the harvest in 2018 at 64 million tons (previous year: 61.3 million tons). Exports could rise to 42.5 million tonnes in the marketing season 2018/19 (previous year: 39.4 million tonnes).
A spokesman for the authorities reported today that 4 million tonnes of corn had already been exported (previous year: 2.2 million tonnes). Wheat exports have so far reached 8.7 million tonnes, compared to 9 million tonnes in the same period last year.
Ukraine's agricultural exports focus on vegetable oils, oilseeds and grains.
The harvest in 2018 is now almost complete. Of 96% of the acreage, 65.4 million tonnes of unrefined grain were threshed. Of this, 5-7% have to be deducted in order to obtain storable grain.
The harvest is divided into 30.2 million tonnes of corn, 25.1 million tonnes of wheat and 7.5 million tonnes of barley and 13.7 million tonnes of sunflower seeds.
