Ukraine: High wheat yields compensate for the decrease in the acreage

In the Ukraine, 11.3 million tons of wheat have been harvested so far this year. On the same date in the previous year, there were 8.8 million tons. The average yield is 15% higher than last year and that compensates for a large part of the smaller acreage. So a wheat crop is expected there, smaller than only 2.5 million in the previous year.
