The Ukraine increases soybean crop exports to China probably

The Ukraine expects a 5% increase soybean crop than in the previous year. That would be 4.1 million tons, of which the Black Sea will provide some quantities also to China. The oilseed has proved very profitable for the farmers in the Ukraine, so the area under cultivation expanded significantly in the last two years. This year, the acreage comprised 2.1 million acres (VJ. 1, 8).
2.76 million tons were harvested in 2013, 2.41 million tons in 2012.
Last month, the Agriculture Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko of a delegation from China could introduce some oil mills of the country. He now hopes that soon soybean meal from the Ukraine may be delivered to China. Soy meal exports amounted to 2013/14 to 86.383 tons. Already 156.397 tonnes abroad were sold in the economy this year until the end of August, UkrAgroConsult reports.
