In the Ukraine, about 15% than in the previous year were sown at this year's 5.3% more sunflowers. Last fall sowing had to be prematurely terminated of winter cereals due to adverse weather and soil conditions, which is why more areas with crop be ordered.
Of Ukroliyaprom Association estimates the sunflower crop this year at 13 million tons, there were 11.5 million tonnes in the previous year. The sunflower oil production will increase by around 20% to 5.5 million tonnes, because a good harvest is expected.
