The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture expects grain yields of 4.42 tons / hectare for the 2018/19 season. That would be an increase of 4% compared to the previous year.
Wheat yields are estimated to be 4.1 tonnes per hectare, for barley yields the estimate is 3.15 tonnes per hectare (previous year: 3.31 tonnes per hectare).
Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the Ministry leaves the crop estimate for the 2018/19 marketing period unchanged at 61 million tonnes.
