Ukraine: Wheat export prices rise by USD 4 / to

Export prices for wheat of the 2020 harvest from Ukraine rose by USD 4 / tonne last week. The prices were supported by good demand on the international market and sluggish harvest progress. The APK-Inform has just reported this.
The government in Kiev estimated the grain harvest there in 2020 at only 68 million tons. In 2019 it was 75 million tons.
APK-Inform reports that Ukrainian ground wheat with 12.5% protein was traded from the Black Sea export ports at the end of last week for USD 205-209 / tonne fob. The previous week it was $ 200-204 / ton.
In the 2019/20 season (July / June), Ukraine exported 56.5 million tons of grain. In the first weeks of the new season, which started on July 1st, grain exports were still comparatively small at 719,000 tons. In the same period last year, 1.7 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine.
