The majority of winter grain stocks in Ukraine are in good or satisfactory condition, according to UkrAgroConsult, the leading agricultural consultancy in Ukraine.
Afterwards, 48.5% of the stocks were rated "good", while 36.2% of the stocks were rated "satisfactory".
The winter cereal sowing for the 2018 harvest has been completed and due to unfavorable weather conditions not all planned areas could be ordered.
Final figures show that winter cereals were sown on 6.9 million hectares. That's 4% less than originally expected. 5.9 million hectares were ordered with winter wheat, 822,000 hectares with winter barley and 147,000 hectares with rye.
