Uncertainties characterize the wheat market

Wheat prices in Paris and Chicago closed the trading week with dark green symbols. The most traded December contract rose by EUR 12.50 per ton to EUR 337.75 per tonne. France's transport ministry announced yesterday that it intends to conclude an agreement with Romania that would allow Ukrainian grain exports via routes through Romania. The aim of this agreement is to improve the supply of wheat to the Middle East and Africa. The Ukrainian sea exports continue to cause uncertainty and moved prices in particular on Friday. According to government information, representatives of Russia and Turkey want to discuss the future of the export deal this week. Both countries had recently expressed criticism. On the CBoT, agricultural goods also benefited more from the positive market environment for equities and commodities. The US dollar also fell again and gave prices support. Russia's exports appear to have picked up speed recently. According to Sovecon, around 760,000 tons of wheat were exported last week.
