There were slight losses in corn prices in Paris. The November date closed at EUR 315 per tonne, EUR 1.25 lower than on Monday. The competition from the Ukraine, as well as the early start of the harvest, are putting slight pressure on the price quotations. Rainfall today is moving from the Palatinate through north-west Germany to the north. Eastern areas remain free of precipitation for the time being. Temperatures are expected to drop over the next few days. Further precipitation has been announced along the Middle Rhine and in Bavaria, which will probably only help the plants very occasionally. Corn went north on the CBoT. The US inventory ratings were unchanged from the previous week, the market had expected a further reduction in the condition ratings. US export shipments came in at 518,000 tons, down 170,000 tons from the previous week.
