United States: No labelling requirement for GMOs

The U.S. yesterday majority a law adopted by Parliament that blocked the labelling for foods produced using genetically modified raw materials. 275 to 150 vote adopted a hotly-debated law that expressly the food manufacturers does not obligate to provide information on GMO (genetic modified organism) if they are included in the products.
The proponents of a labelling requirement have logged also their misgivings about the use of the herbicide glyphosate. It is applied mostly in the cultivation of GMO crops. The WHO (World Health Organization) had determined earlier this year that glyphosate could possibly trigger cancers in humans.
