Corn futures in Chicago are trading with gains this morning as analysts expect lower US corn production. Unfavorable weather conditions in the Midwest last year limited yields. So far this week, however, corn futures are down 0.6%. Today at 18:00, the US Department of Agriculture will release the WASDE report and US quarterly stocks. It is expected that smaller corn and soybean harvests and a smaller winter wheat planting will be reported for 2019. Institutional investors sold 6,000 contracts of CBoT corn yesterday.
