The US Department of Agriculture reports that only 30% of winter wheat stocks in the United States are in top condition. Last week it was 32% and at the same time last year 53%. 3% of the inventories have accumulated (previous year: 8%). The 5-year average is 4%. Analysts interviewed ahead of the release expected a share of 30-34%, which is in top condition.
Corn sowning has started and 2% of the planned area has been ordered (previous year: 3%, 5-year average: 2%).
