The Euronext corn recorded moderate gains yesterday. The leading contract went 4.25 euros/ton to 318 euros/ton northbound. On the other side of the Pacific, corn contracts also rallied. The latest data from the EIA showed that daily ethanol production fell to 1.036 million barrels last week. That's down 6,000 barrels from the previous week. Stocks have risen to 26.5 million barrels. For today's USDA seeding report, analysts expect acreage to drop to 37.23 million hectares. The correction was mainly justified by the scarce and expensive fertilizers.
